 Manhattan Country Club Supported Charitable
Organizations in 2010

Manhattan Country Club is proud to support a number of Charitable Organizations through The Brackpool Family Foundation, the MCC Youth Committee, its management team, special events, and other direct donations of goods and services.  We believe that the greater global community is best served when we all put our efforts forward to support those in need and build a better future.

The following is a list of organizations that MCC is directly involved in supporting this year:

" is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for the Haitian people, particularly children, through education, nutrition, and healthcare.

Through your generous donations and the helping hands of our family of volunteers and dedicated staff,  is helping to improve the quality of life of hundreds of thousands of Haitian children and their families. Our unique approach of helping the poorest of the poor in Haiti is both efficient and effective. We encourage you to look at our "Programs" section to see how over 96% of donations we raise directly reach the people who need it most. 100% of all donations received in response to the earthquake are going directly to our disaster relief effort on the ground. We thank you for your interest and support in helping us spread HOPE to the men, women, and children of Haiti."

SNL - City of Los Angeles
"Summer Night Lights" Program

“Summer Night Lights” was piloted in 2008 in eight (8) recreation and park facilities and provided fun-filled, positive opportunities for our young people living in the most crime-ridden communities throughout the City, serving as a pilot for necessary programming in coming years. In 2009, “Summer Night Lights” – expanded its programming to (16) facilities (11 parks, 4 housing projects and 1 school site) throughout the City of Los Angeles.

Research has consistently shown that youth are most likely to commit violent crimes between the hours of 4 p.m. and midnight and during the summer months in the City of Los Angeles. The creation of the SNL program was in response to this research. The purpose of SNL is to create safe environments during the peak times for violence and in communities most affected by violence. SNL provides programming for the entire community, which include those who are potential victims and potential perpetrators of violence.
